Papyr collects no personal information. The app does not use analytics, tracking, advertising frameworks, or any third-party SDKs. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no servers.
All features run entirely on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks:
No scanned images, text, or documents are sent to any server — ever.
Your scanned documents and settings are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. Document files are explicitly excluded from iCloud backup. You can delete all data by deleting the app.
Papyr requests camera access solely to scan documents. Camera data is processed on-device and is never transmitted.
Papyr offers a one-time Pro upgrade through Apple's App Store. Apple processes all purchase transactions. Papyr does not receive or store any payment information.
Papyr uses zero third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks. The app is built entirely with Apple's native frameworks.
Papyr does not collect any data from any user, including children. The app is safe for all ages.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Since Papyr collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
